Position Overview
A clinic in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Physician Assistant for outpatient family medicine coverage. The role involves 18–22 patients per day across a diverse patient population with integrated behavioral health support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages
- Manage chronic disease including diabetes, hypertension, and COPD
- Perform minor office procedures and preventive care
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies
- Coordinate referrals and care transitions
Requirements
- Active PA-C certification (NCCPA)
- Active Iowa PA license or willingness to obtain
- Minimum 2 years of primary care PA experience
- Proficiency with EMR systems
- DEA license and current BLS certification
