Position Overview
An urgent care center in New Haven, CT is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for walk-in urgent care coverage. The clinic sees an average of 30–40 patients per day with a focus on acute illness, injuries, and occupational health.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat walk-in patients with acute illness and injuries
- Perform minor procedures including suturing, splinting, and I&D
- Order and interpret point-of-care testing and X-rays
- Manage occupational health visits and DOT physicals
- Document encounters and coordinate follow-up care
Requirements
- Active FNP or AGNP certification
- Active Connecticut APRN license or willingness to obtain
- Minimum 2 years of urgent care or primary care experience
- DOT physical certification preferred
- BLS certification current
