Position Overview
A primary and urgent care group in Stamford, CT is seeking a Family Medicine Physician for a hybrid outpatient and urgent care role. Providers rotate between clinic locations seeing a mix of scheduled primary care patients and walk-in urgent care visits, averaging 20–25 patients per shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient primary care and same-day urgent care services
- Manage acute illness, injuries, lacerations, fractures, and minor procedures
- Conduct annual wellness exams, chronic disease management, and preventive care
- Order and interpret point-of-care testing, X-rays, and laboratory studies
- Collaborate with specialists and coordinate referrals as needed
Requirements
- Board Certified in Family Medicine (ABFM) or Internal Medicine with urgent care experience
- Active Connecticut medical license or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable managing both primary care and acute/urgent presentations
- Experience with Athena EMR preferred
- DOT physical certification a plus
