Position Overview
A facility in San Diego, CA is seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner for inpatient hospitalist coverage. The role involves managing a patient panel of 12–15 patients with physician collaboration and on-site support.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a daily census of medical inpatients
- Perform admissions, discharges, and care transitions
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies
- Coordinate with consulting services and care management
- Respond to clinical deterioration and rapid response events
Requirements
- Active ACNP or AGACNP certification
- Active California RN and APRN license or willingness to obtain
- Minimum 2 years of acute care NP experience
- Hospital medicine experience preferred
- BLS and ACLS certifications current
