Position Overview
An orthopedic practice in Santa Fe, NM is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide surgical first-assist and clinic coverage. The role involves assisting in joint replacement, arthroscopy, and spine cases with outpatient follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide surgical first-assist for orthopedic procedures
- Manage pre-operative and post-operative care
- Conduct outpatient clinic visits and follow-ups
- Order and interpret imaging and lab studies
- Assist with fracture management and casting
Requirements
- Active PA-C certification (NCCPA)
- Active New Mexico PA license or willingness to obtain
- Minimum 2 years of orthopedic PA experience
- Surgical first-assist experience required
- BLS certification current
