Position Overview
A facility in Springfield, MA is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine PA to provide coverage in a high-volume emergency department. The ED sees 60,000+ annual visits with a collaborative physician-PA team model.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patients across all acuity levels in the ED
- Perform procedures including suturing, splinting, I&D, and joint reductions
- Order and interpret imaging and laboratory studies
- Coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers
- Collaborate with attending physicians and consulting services
Requirements
- Active PA-C certification (NCCPA)
- Active Massachusetts PA license or willingness to obtain
- Minimum 2 years of emergency medicine PA experience
- ACLS, BLS, and ATLS certifications current
- Comfort with high-volume ED environments
